(From the Warriors Society.

The United States Forest Service Region 5 will hold public listening sessions in the state for mountain bikers and trail users to get their input on how to provide mountain biking recreation in California’s National Forests. Mountain biking is a popular sport.
Mountain biking has become a popular activity in many forests. Clear management strategies are required to ensure that there is continued recreation and the protection of natural resources. The mountain bike management strategy will be developed using the information gained from listening sessions. The strategy will consist of two main components: 1) A Situational Analysis, which will identify existing issues and potential solutions, and 2) Implementation Toolbox. This will give managers a set of prescriptions to address the issues identified in the Situational assessment. These meetings will take place at the following locations.
