After a month of changes on the NORBA/World Cup scene, it’s time for riders to get down and racing. Fort Williams, in the Scottish Highlands hosted the first round of the World Cup Downhill & Four Cross as well as the second World Cup Cross Country.

MEIRHAEGHE WINS ON FULL SUSPENSION

Filip Meirhaeghe was the winner on a Specialized Epic factory bike. The World Cup Champion claimed that his victory was due to full suspension, which was supported by Lado Fumic from Germany. Lado stated that Filips’ full suspension through the rocky pedalling sections was better than his hardtail.

You can see how close the racing was. Cross country’s top five men were finished in 37 seconds. The top three female runners finished 20 seconds apart.
